You know how important plants are and now that climate change is widely accepted as an urgent issue in need of address, we have even more reason to want people to know about Kew's vital scientific research and conservation work.

Breaking the Cycle

As the planet warms up, the threat to the variety and number of plants increases. With a reduction in plant life there the natural management of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere will be compromised and all life will be threatened.

In an effort to make a difference to our world, Kew directs its efforts towards understanding and conserving plants as the source for all life.

Kew is supporting this mission by working with communities and providing advice for government bodies around the world on how to preserve plants and their habitats as well as building awareness of the diverse impacts of climate change on plants and ultimately people.
