Public Education

Welcome to our Autumn/Winter Adult Education Programme at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Wakehurst Place.

We’re delighted to offer another packed programme of courses and lectures for you including some old favourites and some new. Highlights mentioned below but have a browse through the brochure for the full details and more!

We are very much looking forward to welcoming Sarah Raven to Kew in December for her talk Sarah Raven’s Complete Christmas. Based on her new book (signed copies will be available to purchase on the night) Sarah will be sharing seasonal decorating and cooking ideas inspired by her own garden in Sussex.

It’s the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth in 2009 and to mark the occasion we have invited author Michael Boulter to Kew to speak about his new book, Darwin’s Garden. Professor Sam Berry will also reference Darwin’s work in his talk on the flora and fauna of the UK’s Islands when he visits Wakehurst Place to lecture in March.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Adult Education

We're celebrating too as it's the 250th birthday of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in 2009!

250th Anniversary logoWith a year long programme of special displays, features and events planned, look out for our public education offerings in the next brochure. The Spring/Summer 2009 edition will be published in February.
