Weekend Ranger

Hours of Work: Alternate Weekends, 8 hours per day

Job Status: Permanent

Salary per annum: Pro-rata to £16,670 - Band B

Department: Wakehurst Place

Job Details

In providing a frontline interface between Wakehurst Place and the visiting public, our Rangers aim to increase the public awareness as to the vital role the gardens play alongside heightening their enjoyment of the experience.

You will provide up-to-date information on all aspects of the gardens whilst ensuring that levels of security are upheld within the buildings and grounds. With the ability to problem-solve and make decisions, you will communicate in a welcoming and professional manner, maintaining visitor focus at all times.

Training will be provided to equip you with sound plant and conservation-linked knowledge and a valid first aid certificate. A full, clean driving licence is essential.
